Hey, kid. You might want to know,
That waters are not clear
From here on out.
You are not an adult,
You are still just a kid,
You just graduated from the floaties.

There will be rough waters
(called essays, and the Odyssey)
But you can make it through it.
Just work your hardest
(how else will your muscles grow?)
And don’t forget your homework,
It is a liferaft and if you don’t do it
Your destroying your lifeline
(trust me I learned this the hard way.)

So hey, kid. You might want to know
Waters are not clear,
From here on out.
You are not an adult,
You’re just a kid,
And though swimming is hard
Enjoy it.

This was modeled after a poem I can't remember hte name of or hte author... I think it was something like Mother to son though.
The English assingment was to write a dramatic monolouge just like it, but instead of it being a mother to a son, it was to be from us to incoming freshmen next year.

Ohh, I really like how you used the repetition of the first on the last and how you ended it!! (If that made any sense xD). Gosh, I wish I could write like this. OTL
