Last night I dreamed of you
Curls falling around your shoulders
A serene smile-barely upturned lips
Blue grey eyes, looking at me like:
Do I know something?
Well do I?
I look up through the curtain of delicate ringlets
Your smile, like you know where we’re going
And when I sit down to rest
You rest with me, watching me with those eyes,
Do I know something?
Your arms around my waist
Your lips brushing against my neck
Whispering “I love you” sweetly into my ear
You hold me close
I knew something, it was just a dream.
Your kisses grow fervent
Neither of us wants this to end
Sucking on my tongue,
Nibbling on my lip
I needed to remember, it was just a dream
Last night I dreamed about you
About something that happened
I forgot it was just a dream.
I just got lost in that gaze
It said I knew something
It knew the pain I would feel.

goldfish
did you know that there is no scientific name
for the back of the knee?
i read somewhere that
change was good
other sources did disagree.
sometimes, goldfish die
and float to the top
of their glass bowl
as if
trying to float to god.
had a dream once
you kept me
in a room
with pillows and
your shirts
typed what it meant
into a dream interpreter
i found on google.
it didn't say anything
i googled, instead,
about your shirts
it said that i loved you.
someone told me
you had my heart in a jar
i laughed and said
if you did,
i'd be dead.
did you know that the skin at your elbow
doesn't hurt
if you pinch it?
i am afrai
Literature
little boy in a broken world
little boy,
one day you will unstitch yourself from that outgrown shadow
and find that your hands are no longer too small
to grasp at the clouds.
my love,
one day you will spread your new-fledged wings
and fly away from me
into the arms of your lover
but sweet, i won't mind -
i wish you sunbeam smiles
and butterfly kisses
and hope that your name is now your own.
i hope that you fit like a jigsaw
into the curve of his arms, love,
and that when you come together
you bring the broken world with you.
